The "D" Litter
From Violet and Hugo and Phantom

Violet has great genetics, carrying the recessive genes for smooth, chocolate, clear red, blue, and parti.
Because she is a long-coat, last time we paired her with Hugo and got beautiful chocolate dilute pups. This time we got a recessive chocolate pup and a "white chocolate" or double-recessive dilute chocolate too!

About the "DIOR" litter
This is a super-special litter for so many reasons. These four pups born by C-section on 4/9/2026 were Precious Violet's last litter as she headed into whelping retirement. They are a "blue" litter which is a very rare dilute black gene. Their sire is the gorgeous blue Phantom who comes from the "Frozen" line, where sperm is saved for a decade and used to reinitiate the line with original DNA. In my mind, all the offspring are little existential time travelers!
All are long-hair coat type. Two boys and two girls. And, oh boy, are they pretty! We're embark testing their genetics, and we hope to keep the blue girl to continue her mother's enormously successful line.
1. Dahlia
Female - blue brindle long hair - charting at 5.25 lbs.
Dahlia is a long-haired girl who started life as a dark brown pup and should keep his brown color. He's named after the musician Frank Zappa in hopes that he'll be as smart and creative. Long-haired pups will have complete facial furnishings when fully grown.

2. Dottie - now "Bella Rose"
Female - black & white long hair - charting at 5 lbs.
Dottie is named after the sweet italian confection that is fried dough covered in powdered sugar, appearing white just like this little dude who is cute as a button. He is a rare personality and genetics. Zep is a chocolate with pink leathers and light eyes, a chocolate dilute or "white" chocolate. He has an apricot color that will likely lighten. One look in his beautiful green eyes, and you'll be under his spell, which will be a very good place to be!

Dorian is small and compact with a nice gait. He's named after the main character in the movie The Princess Bride which is funny because he's timid, quiet, and super sweet. Westley has up ears and jumps like a little bunny. He's charting to be 4lbs 4oz as an adult. Westley has been adopted by a breeder and family including other dogs. He inherits a very big family-storied name, a reference to an impromptu and delightful performance of Beauty and the Beast.
